New Mexico's big and colorful skies can best be felt in larger paintings. I don't have a lot of room to paint and show, so I have tended towards midsize paintings, but sometimes, you just have to go BIG! The Sandia mountains and skies East of Albuquerque light up when the Western sky turns orange in the Summer. The open land of the reservations to the North, give room for the drama to unfold uninterrupted by big buildings! I plan to do another one from a picture I took of a storm over Santa Fe that was amazing...
